Rise from the depth of these troubled seas, soul

Rise to meet the horizon where the tempest and the fire of dawn dissolve

into effervescence and forgetfulness

You rise even now, I feel you

and I tell you with certainty, be not afraid

The storm is nearly over and nature is waiting to feed your hungry eyes

with light, color and hope

You can put aside the rain that you have worn

and redress your spirit with the lilies you bring back from your valley

Wear them proudly

Cover your nakedness with their story of your triumph

And be well, soul

Be well

You are not as insignificant as the oceans made you believe you were

  1. “You are not as insignificant as the oceans made you believe you were.” Truth. I am speechless.
